Repeat a session
Set a session to repeat every week, every few weeks, or every month, and change a series later.
A repeating session is a series. You fill in the session form once, and SignGlasses creates every session in the schedule. Use it for a class or meeting that happens at the same time each week or month.
Set the schedule
Start the request as described in Request a session. After you enter the date and times:
- Turn on Repeats. The label changes to Repeats until, and an end date appears next to it, one week after the first session.
- Select the end date to change it.
- Choose how often the session repeats:
- Weekly repeats every week on the days you select.
- Monthly repeats once a month, on the same weekday or the same date. The choices name them for your first session, such as Monthly on the 3rd Thursday or Monthly on the 15th.
- Custom repeats every 2 to 12 weeks on the days you select. Choose the number of weeks next to Repeats every. The week of the first session counts as the first week.
A summary below your choices shows the schedule, its end date, and the number of sessions it creates. If no session falls between the first session and the end date, the summary says so. Change the days or the end date.
The first session and the end date must both be less than a year away.
An administrator approves or rejects a repeating request as one series, not session by session.
Change a series
When you edit a session that is part of a series, selecting Update session asks how to apply the change:
- Choose This session or This and following sessions.
- Select Update session.
A change to the schedule, such as weekly to every 2 weeks, applied to this and following sessions creates the future sessions again on the new schedule.
To turn a single session into a series, edit it, turn on Repeats, and set the schedule before you save.
Less than 24 hours before a session, you cannot change its repeat schedule. For everything else about editing, see Edit a session.
