Use the mobile app in a session

To install the app and find your sessions, see Use the mobile app.

Join a session

Select the session on the dashboard or the calendar.
Select Join session at the top of the session details.

The app shows “Joining…” and then the session. Your camera and microphone are off when you join.

Use the controls

The controls hide after a few seconds. Tap the screen to show or hide them.

Select the session title at the top to see who is in the session.
Select the microphone icon to unmute, and the camera icon to turn on your camera. A line through an icon means it is off.
To switch between your front and back cameras, select the camera button in the corner of your own video. Drag your video to another corner if it is in the way.

If AI captions are available in your session, a captions icon also appears at the bottom of the screen. Select it to turn AI captions on for yourself, and select it again to turn them off. See Use AI captions.

Change your view

Swipe between two views. The dots above the controls show which one you are on.

The first view shows the pinned videos. Your interpreters and the captions are pinned when you join.
The second view shows everyone in the session.

To pin a video, press and hold it in the second view, then select Pin. To unpin it, press and hold it, then select Unpin.

Notes and bookmarks are not available in the app.

Change your captions

Press and hold the captions.
Select Configure.
Change the Font family, Font size, Font color, Background color, or Line spacing.

The changes apply only to you.

The captions follow the newest line. Scroll up to read earlier captions, and scroll back to the end to follow the newest line again.

Chat

Select the chat icon, enter your message, and select Send. Select the X at the top right to close the chat. A message that arrives while the chat is closed appears briefly at the top of your screen.

Connect your smart glasses

Turn on your glasses. See Use your smart glasses.
Select the glasses icon. A QR code appears.
Look at the QR code through the glasses.

Your interpreter or captions appear in the glasses. To choose another interpreter, select the glasses icon again and choose under View. See Adjust what you see in your smart glasses.

Hang up

If the controls are hidden, tap the screen.
Select the red phone icon. The session details open again.
Select the back arrow at the top left to return to the dashboard.
