Connect the Samson XPD2 microphone

This microphone connects only to a laptop. It does not connect to an iPad or a phone.

The Samson XPD2 has two pieces: a USB receiver that plugs into your computer, and a transmitter with the microphone attached.

Turn on the microphone

1. Plug the USB receiver into your computer.
2. Press the power button on the transmitter.

A steady amber light appears on both pieces when the microphone is on and the two are paired.

Choose it in your session

1. Give the microphone to the presenter.
2. When you join your session, choose Samson RXD under Room microphone on the equipment check.

To check the microphone, ask the presenter to speak. The red bar under Room microphone moves when the microphone hears sound.

If the lights flash

A flashing light means the two pieces are trying to pair. Pair them again:

1. Hold the pairing button on the USB receiver for 5 to 8 seconds, until the light blinks quickly.
2. Hold the power button on the transmitter for 5 to 8 seconds, until its light also blinks quickly.

After a few moments, both lights change to steady amber. The microphone is paired, and you can choose it under Room microphone in your session.
