Connect the Jabra Speak 510
Connect the Jabra Speak 510 room speaker by Bluetooth, USB cable, or USB dongle, then choose it in your session.
The Jabra Speak 510 is a room microphone and speaker. It works with laptops, tablets, and phones.
Turn on the speaker
- Hold the power button for 2 seconds. If the speaker does not turn on, charge it.
- Place it on your desk, or at the center of the table your group is working from.
The speaker connects in three ways. On a phone or tablet, use Bluetooth.
Connect with Bluetooth
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker for 3 seconds, until it flashes blue. Then release it.
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your computer or mobile device and turn on Bluetooth.
- Select the Jabra Speak option from the list of available devices.
- If you are asked for a password, enter 0000.
The light on the speaker turns solid blue when it is connected.
Connect with the USB cable
Plug the speaker’s USB cable into your computer. Your computer recognizes the speaker as an audio option.
If your computer does not recognize it, leave the cable connected and restart your computer.
Connect with the USB dongle
- Plug the Jabra USB dongle into your computer.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker for 3 seconds, until it flashes blue. Then release it.
- Wait for the light to turn solid blue.
If the light is not solid blue after about a minute, unplug the dongle and plug it back in.
Choose it in your session
When you join your session, choose the Jabra speaker under Room microphone on the equipment check. In the mobile app, a connected Bluetooth microphone is selected for you.
To check the microphone, speak near the speaker. The red bar under Room microphone moves when the microphone hears sound.
