Hand over captioning in StreamText
Change the writer in StreamText before your turn, so attendees see your captions when you work a session with a team.
When you caption a StreamText session with a team, you take turns. Before your turn, change the writer to yourself. If you begin captioning without changing the writer, the attendee cannot see your captions.
Before your turn
Get ready the same way as for any StreamText session: open the StreamText Connector, connect your captioning software, sign in to StreamText, and select the SignGlasses organization. See Connect to StreamText.
Change the writer
- In StreamText, select Change Writers.
- In the New Writer dropdown, select your name.
- Under New Parsing Format, select Caseview.
- Select the blue Change Writer button.
- Find the session on your dashboard again and select Watch.
You can now begin captioning.
