Connect Case CATalyst to SignGlasses
Create a Case CATalyst settings profile that sends your steno output to a SignGlasses session, and load it each time you caption.
Case CATalyst (CaseCAT) sends your captions to SignGlasses through its StenoKeys output. You set this up once and save it as a settings profile.
Create a SignGlasses settings profile
- Open Case CATalyst.
- From the Function menu, select Translate and Edit, or select the Translate and Edit icon.
- Select Save Settings to keep a profile of your current settings. Enter a name and select Save.
- For Steno Source, select Writer.
- For Output Source, select StenoKeys.
- Select Save Settings again to save a profile for the new settings. Enter a name, such as “SignGlasses”, and select Save.
- Enter a name for a new file in the File box, and select OK.
Case CATalyst is now ready. You can join your session and begin captioning.
Before each session
- Connect your steno writer.
- Open Case CATalyst.
- Open the Translate and Edit window.
- Select Load Settings.
- Select your SignGlasses settings profile, and select Open.
- Enter a name for a new file, and select OK.
Keep your cursor in the SignGlasses text box while you caption. If the cursor is somewhere else, your captions stop appearing in the session.
